Jet Airways plans to expand its fleet capacity in order to cater to the increasing domestic demand. The company has placed an order for 75 Boeing 737 Max aircrafts that will be inducted into its fleet over a period of time.As of December 2017, the company had an operating fleet of 116, which included a mix of narrow-body Boeing 737s, turbo-prop ATRs, and wide-body Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s. In an earnings conference call earlier, the company had indicated that it plans to add 25 aircrafts to its fleet by 2020. According to media reports, the deal for 75 planes could be valued at over $8.7bn.
